Physician Assistants
Physician assistants (PAs) are health care professionals licensed to practice medicine with physician supervision. PAs conduct physical exams and are qualified to diagnose and treat a wide range of musculoskeletal disorders, including, shoulder, elbow, hand, hip, and knee pain. They order and interpret tests, counsel on preventive health care, assist in surgery, and write prescriptions. A physician assistant is qualified to provide a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic services. A PA's practice includes education, research, and administrative services.
